For those too excited to wait until midnight, the Redlands Visitor Center rings in the new year at 4 p.m., which is the stroke of midnight in London. Ten…Nine…Eight…,when the crowd finishes their countdown at 4pm the Beach Ball Drop begins. 1,000 Inflated beach balls will descend from above, floating down on the families like warm snowflakes with a goal for the participants to keep them bouncing overhead for as long as possible. Guests may also write on the Wishing Wall: Whether it is a personal goal, a dream for the future or doing something for the very first time.

A part of the Redlands Visitor Center’s Mission is to develop family-friendly Downtown experiences for families. We are proud and excited to offer a safe and fun New Year’s Eve outing for Redlands families and visitors.

This Neurodivergent tour is the country’s first! The tour will begin in late 2025 and is free to all children 5-12 years. We thank Lappert's Ice Cream for providing free ice after the tour.

“For a lot of kids with disabilities and challenges, the world is not set up for them, and so they are oftentimes left out,” says Wittman the OT Tour Guide. “My goal is to just make it something for all children, for all brains, for everybody and give everyone something fun to do. No child should be excluded while their peers and family engage in a downtown history tour.”
